Recently kindergarten and first grade students at Sumter County Primary School participated in the Magnolia District Garden Club 2017-2018 “Let it Grow” Poetry Contest.  The students wrote poems about a variety of topics that grow including plants, flowers, and trees.  Students were able to showcase their creativity through the art of writing.  The following students had winning poems:  First Grade – 2nd Place Elijah Fuller in Mrs. Yvonne Iverson’s class, Kindergarten – 1st Place India English in Mrs. Lindsey Prater and Mrs. Sharron Bartley’s class, Kindergarten – 2nd Place Bryanna Mitchell in Mrs. Holli Farr and Mrs. Sharon Harper’s class, and Kindergarten – 3rd Place Annabella Horsley in Mrs. Felisa Parrott and Mrs. Virginia Minter’s class.
