I received a masters degree in Early Childhood Education at Georgia Southwestern University with an ESOL endorsement received from Northwest Georgia RESA.

I have taught in the Americus/Sumter County School system for 34 years. Most of my teaching experience was in the First Grade classroom with 3 years in a multi-age First/Second grade classroom and 2 years as the Reading Specialist. I retired in 2008 and have since been working part time in the school as an EIP teacher, substitute teacher, then the ESOL teacher.

I have been married to Bill Cochran for 27 years. We have one son who is now getting his MBA at Piedmont College in North Georgia.
